Welcome to My Castle

"I have wished to know how the stars shine.  I have tried to apprehend the Pythagorean power by which number holds sway above the flux.  A little of this, but not much, I have achieved." (Bertrand Russell)

About Me
I was married on May 13th 2003 to Heidi McLean.   I served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, in Southern Florida (Florida Ft. Lauderdale mission). I love competitive swimming, dancing, and debate. I received a Masters degree from Brigham Young University in Computer Science with a minor in Ancient Near Eastern History. I am currently working on my PhD also at Brigham Young where my research is in Computer Assisted Ancient Linguistics.  I currently work at the AML Laboratory at BYU.  I also teach Isaiah and Pearl of Great Price part time in the college of Religious Education at BYU. I used to work (and sometimes still do minor things for) Photogenics in Provo, a research team designing neutron detectors.

We recently got a puppy, who very quickly grew.  Her name is Lylah, (Hebrew, "night" because she is jet black). More Pictures of Lylah here.
